Ultherapy

What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is a non-surgical face and neck treatment that uses ultrasound to help lift and tone loose or sagging skin with little to no downtime.

What is unique about this procedure?

Ultherapy is the only FDA cleared, non-invasive treatment that can specifically target the deep foundation below the skin that is addressed in cosmetic surgery without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin. It is also the only procedure to use ultrasound imaging, which allows us to provide more precise, effective results.

What kind of technology does Ultherapy use?

Ultherapy uses tried-and-true ultrasound technology, which has received FDA clearance for use in this new type of medical procedure, designed to lift skin on the brow, neck, decollete, under the chin, or almost anywhere there is skin laxity.*

Ultherapy is the only non-invasive FDA approved procedure cleared to lift the skin on the neck, face, and décolleté. Non-surgical Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin to deliver the right amount of ultrasound energy at the right depths and the right temperature. Clinical research has demonstrated how ultrasound energy can trigger a natural response under the skin, jumpstarting the regenerative process that produces fresh, new collagen.*

Ultherapy FAQ

Does Ultherapy hurt? What does Ultherapy feel like?

While patient experience may vary, the majority of patients report Ultherapy pain to be minimal and effectively controlled with Ibuprofen or other pain reliever (as directed by a medical professional.) During the Ultherapy procedure, you will feel a small zing under your skin every second or so and you can take a break at any time.

When will I see my Ultherapy results and how long do Ultherapy results last?*

While results may vary, typically optimal Ultherapy results are seen 12 weeks post procedure, but we invite you back to our office at the 8 week mark to check in and show you your progress through your Ultherapy before and after photos. The results are gradual and you may not realize how great the technology has worked until you see photos. On average, results last about 2 years.*

Is there any downtime?

While experiences may vary, for most Ultherapy clients, downtime is minimal and somewhat depends on skin sensitivity. Most clients return to their normal activities immediately following their Ultherapy session. While side effects are rare, it’s not unusual for some patients to feel a bit swollen and tender following an Ultherapy treatment, but this inflammation is mild and not noticeable to others. There is also a chance for bruising, but this typically dissipates quickly.*

What do I do before and after my appointment?

Nothing! Some patients may take 800mg of Ibuprofen a half hour before their appointment. Afterwards, go back to your daily activities and await those gorgeous results!
